The College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Basrah organised the seminar on biochar and its benefits for humans, animals, and environment.

The seminar aimed to display the utilization of biochar in multiple fields of life.

The keys topic of the seminar included how biochar is produced, its composition and uses in soil fertilization, water purification, biofertilizer manufacturing, and organic feed production for poultry and ruminants, in addition to its role in sustainable energy production.
