University of Basrah organizes field visit to Harir Marsh Research Station

The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basrah organized a field visit to the Harir Marsh Research Station with the participation of final stage students. The visit aimed to learn about marsh life and the animal and plant environment at the station.  The visit included observing the methods of feeding the animals that come or settle in Harir station, including birds, fish and others whose presence is related to water bodies, as well as explaining the biological cycle that maintains the balance of elements beneficial to plants due to types of bacteria and the lack of accumulation of some chemical’s toxic to aquatic organisms.
