As part of the Bologna Program requirements, the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basrah arranged a field visit for first-year students to the livestock facilities at the College of Agriculture.

The purpose of the visit was to explore the livestock and poultry areas, offering students insights into animal care practices, modern feeding and breeding techniques, and the tools and equipment involved.

Students toured the mechanical milking room in the cow barns and learned about the types of feed provided. They were also introduced to vaccination schedules and timeframes. Additionally, the visit emphasized the importance of utilizing agricultural land to produce suitable local feed.
