University of Basrah Organizes Workshop on the Concept of Engaging with Scientific Academic Work

The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basrah organized a training course on the concept of engaging with scientific academic work, in alignment with the goals of sustainable development to build a qualified academic scientific workforce and to invest in human potential. The course was attended by research assistants, veterinarians, and agricultural specialists.

The aim of the course was to prepare and train a qualified academic scientific team capable of conducting research work.

The course, delivered by several faculty members, covered multiple topics, including the formation of a skilled and academically productive team qualified for postgraduate studies and experienced in their field, methods of scientific research, how to write a research paper, and research ethics.

The workshop also addressed safe laboratory practices, including handling of equipment and chemicals, accident response protocols, and methods for coding and managing laboratories.
