University of Basra Holds Intensive Course on “Basic Microbiology Techniques”

The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basra conducted a five-day intensive practical training course for postgraduate research students.

The program featured lectures delivered by faculty members from the Department of Microbiology, covering a wide range of essential laboratory skills. Training began with the preparation of various culture media and extended to methods of properly preserving microbial samples to maintain their viability for research purposes.

The course emphasized preparing students for safe and effective laboratory practices, ensuring the accuracy of experimental results, and facilitating the completion of research projects in less time and with greater efficiency.
