University of Basrah Holds Workshop on the Bologna System Teaching Guide

The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basrah organized a workshop for faculty members titled “The Bologna System Teaching Guide.” The event comes as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to enhance the educational process and adopt modern academic standards.

The workshop, presented by Mr. Mohammed Adnan and Ms. Amina Kazim Ali, provided an in-depth overview of the Bologna System’s principles and the method of allocating academic credits according to the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS). It also covered the stages of formative and summative assessment, as well as the management of faculty accounts, attendance records, and student evaluations.

In addition, the workshop highlighted the connection between the Bologna System and the Student Information System (SIS), outlining its role in managing courses, organizing academic procedures, and facilitating follow-up within university institutions.

The session concluded by emphasizing the importance of understanding and engaging with the Bologna System, recognizing its significant impact on improving education quality and promoting academic mobility among accredited universities.
