University of Basrah organized seminar on Extremism in the Social Media
The College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Basra has organized a seminar on "Extremism and the influence of Social Media on Youth."
The seminar presented by Raghad Abdul-Imam all about the concept of extremism, its types, and its most prominent social, economic, and political causes, along with an explanation of the role of social media in distribution of extremist ideas and tempting young people.
The seminar also recommended to strengthening intellectual awareness, encouraging constructive discourse, watching extremist digital content, and promoting strategies to curb the impacts on the society.
