University of Basrah organized “Training Course on Antibiotics”
The College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Basrah has organized a training course entitled "Antibiotics: Their Importance and Applications."
The training course aimed to provide postgraduate students with in-depth information about antibiotics from both theoretical and practical approach.
This course was presented by lecturer Dr. Alyaa Sabti Jasim and Tamadher Mohammed Kreabt. They discussed all types of antibiotics, classifications, and mechanisms of the impacts on bacteria. It also involved the practical training programme for students on performing the antibiotic sensitivity tests in the laboratory.
The training course advised to focusing on the practical part for postgraduate students, thus is going to ensuring their qualification for laboratory work and highly efficiency, which then minimising strenuous effort and consuming-time, as well as reducing the expenditure may be incurred by students in the training.
