University of Basrah Holds Workshop on Research Ethics
The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basrah organized a workshop titled “How to Apply the Concepts and Principles of Research Ethics for Researchers and Graduate Students (Master’s and PhD)”.
The workshop aimed to clarify the laws governing research ethics, outline the penalties imposed on researchers or students who fail to comply, and highlight the application of ethical principles in postgraduate research, theses, and dissertations. It also emphasized the role of research ethics in improving the quality and credibility of scientific work.
The event featured a lecture delivered by a group of faculty members who discussed the relevant laws and procedures related to research ethics, and reviewed examples of violations along with their corresponding penalties.
The presenters stressed the importance of adopting research ethics as a fundamental component of the work undertaken by researchers and graduate students to ensure the production of high-quality research that meets international academic standards.
