University of Basrah Organizes Dialogue Seminar on Crisis Management in Educational Institutions

The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basrah, in collaboration with the Basrah Civil Defense Directorate, organized a dialogue seminar focusing on crisis management within educational institutions.

The event aimed to highlight the importance of understanding crisis response strategies, effective containment of emergencies, and safeguarding both property and lives in academic settings.

The seminar featured a lecture delivered by Brigadier General Thaer Hattab Razouqi, Assistant Director of Civil Defense, who underscored the necessity of developing comprehensive emergency plans, training qualified personnel as part of the college’s Civil Defense program, and conducting periodic drills. He also emphasized ensuring the proper operation of fire extinguishers and maintaining clear emergency exits.
