University of Basrah Organizes a Field Visit to the Animal Resources Department in Al-Qurna
The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basrah organized a field training activity for second-year students at the Animal Resources Department of the Basrah Directorate of Agriculture in Al-Qurna.
The activity aimed to familiarize students with modern devices used in standardization and quality control, the examination of animal feed and detection of carcinogenic substances, in addition to learning the procedures of artificial insemination in animals. This contributes to preparing skilled and competent veterinary graduates for the job market.
The training included information presented by Dr. Moayyad Hanoon Sayhoud from the college, along with specialists from the department, covering methods of artificial insemination and providing a detailed explanation of laboratory equipment used to analyze the components of feed materials included in animal rations.
