University of Basrah Organizes a Panel Discussion on the Future of Cancer Treatment
With international academic participation, the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basrah organized a panel discussion entitled “The Latest Advances in Chemotherapeutic Treatments for Cancer.”
The session hosted Professor Najm Aboud Laibi, a consultant at the University of Konstanz in Germany, who delivered a detailed presentation on modern methods for the preparation of innovative chemical compounds.
Professor Laibi focused on the potential for developing chemical compounds with effective therapeutic action in treating and eliminating some of the most dangerous cancers, including pancreatic cancer, as well as prostate and breast cancers.
He emphasized the importance of developing these compounds to be effective at very low doses, in order to reduce the risks and side effects associated with conventional chemotherapy.
