University of Basrah Organizes a Workshop on Methods of Extracting Medicinal Plants

The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basrah organized a workshop entitled “Methods for Preparing Medicinal Plant Extracts.”

The workshop aimed to identify the most effective extraction methods and solvents, as well as to explain the proper criteria for selecting suitable solvents.

The workshop included a specialized lecture delivered by several faculty members of the college, focusing on the scientific approaches to preparing plant extracts. The lecture covered the classification of extracts based on the solvents and equipment used, along with a practical explanation of the procedures for collecting and drying extracts and their effective application in scientific research.
