The Curriculum Development Committee at the University of Basrah convened its regular meeting at the College of Veterinary Medicine to discuss strategies for modernizing academic programs in line with the rapidly changing demands of the labor market for the second semester of the 2025–2026 academic year.
The meeting was attended by the Head of the Iraqi Veterinary Syndicate, Dr. Alaa Hussein Kadhim, along with representatives from various institutions involved in shaping academic and educational policies.
Discussions focused on enhancing curricula to better meet labor market needs, reviewing the proposed admissions plan for the upcoming academic year, and updating the college’s vision, mission, and objectives to ensure alignment with contemporary developments.
