On the occasion of the 62nd anniversary of the founding of the University of Basrah, the College of Veterinary Medicine honored its staff and emphasized its humanitarian solidarity.
The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basrah held a symbolic celebration marking the university’s 62nd anniversary. The event included honoring a distinguished group of faculty members and employees in recognition of their outstanding efforts and continuous contributions to the success of the academic journey during the academic year.
In his speech during the ceremony, the Dean of the College, Dr. Jalal Yaseen Mustafa, stated that this celebration was limited to honoring the staff in appreciation of their achievements, while taking into account the current circumstances facing the region. He also affirmed the college’s supportive stance and solidarity with the Lebanese and Iranian peoples in facing ongoing challenges.
Dr. Mustafa stressed the importance of unity and supporting the oppressed, noting that continued academic excellence and success at the college represent the highest forms of resilience and determination to move forward. He added that the University of Basrah will remain a prestigious academic institution that combines academic excellence with humanitarian values.
