The importance of beneficial bacteria in enhancing immunity

The University of Basrah organized a workshop on the importance of beneficial bacteria in enhancing immunity.
The College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Basrah organized the workshop on “The importance of beneficial bacteria in enhancing immunity.”
The workshop aimed to explaining the importance of microbial equilibrium in the intestine and its role in modulating cholesterol and levels of blood sugar, and contributing to the prevention the occurrence of cardiovascular diseases and supporting public health.
The workshop was presented by staff from the veterinary public health, in which they discussed the role of intestinal microbes in modulating cholesterol that affect the bile acids. They alerted that microbial imbalance and intestinal permeability causes chronic inflammation and inverses heart health.
The workshop recommended the need to carry out more workshops on this topic to inform society of the benefit of non-pathogenic bacteria and their contribution to promoting health.
