College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basrah Nears Full Program Accreditation
The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basrah is on the threshold of achieving full program accreditation, marking a landmark milestone in its academic journey.
In a historic and unprecedented accomplishment, the college is preparing to receive the ministerial evaluation committee for the final accreditation process, positioning it as the first college of veterinary medicine in Iraq to attain this prestigious recognition within a record timeframe.
The Dean of the College, Dr. Jalal Yassin Mustafa, confirmed that the college has completed all accreditation requirements and is fully prepared for the committee's visit. This follows the successful fulfillment of quality assurance indicators and the official discussion and approval of the Quality Assurance Division's final report.
Dr. Mustafa noted that this achievement builds upon the college's earlier distinction as the first veterinary medicine college in Iraq to obtain program accreditation. He emphasized that securing full program accreditation reflects the college's unwavering commitment to academic excellence, continuous quality improvement, and adherence to national and international standards.
This milestone represents a significant advancement for the University of Basrah and highlights the growing capacity of Iraqi higher education institutions to achieve internationally recognized quality standards through national expertise and dedication.
