Within the activities of the boxing championship under the weight of (67) kilograms for its second day, the boxer of the University of Basrah and Iraq, Yahya Hisham Sami, qualified for the quarter-final round of the boxing championship held within the activities of the international university sports competitions held in the Russian city of (Ekater Lenburg) for the period from August 19 to September 1 next.

A member of the delegation from the University of Basra, Dr. Ghassan Al-Bajari, said, "The boxer of the University of Basra and Iraq, Yahya Hisham Sami, defeated his Azerbaijani counterpart in three rounds to zero, and thus qualified for the quarter-final round, securing one of the championship medals for Iraq and the University of Basra."
