University of Basrah Organizes a Field Visit to Enhance Practical Skills
The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basrah organized a field visit for undergraduate students in the early academic years to the fields of the College of Agriculture, aiming to strengthen their practical skills and integrate theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience.
The visit, supervised by academic staff from the Department of Physiology, Pharmacology, and Biochemistry, included tours of cattle and goat housing facilities, familiarization with modern milking equipment, and practical training in animal examination, blood and milk sample collection, health status assessment, and identification of animal ages and breeds.
The visit concluded with assigning students to prepare scientific reports documenting the skills they had acquired. This activity contributes to preparing students for the labor market and enhancing their professional competencies for the future.
