The University of Basrah welcomes its new students

The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basrah organized a welcoming meeting for first-year students, attended by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Jalal Yassin, along with his assistants.

The meeting included welcoming and instructional speeches presented to the new students, offering important guidance about university life, an introduction to facilities and activities, and ways to access academic and psychological support to ensure a successful beginning to their university journey.

The head of the Educational Guidance and Psychological Counseling Unit also reviewed the unit’s tasks and the services provided to students, emphasizing its role in helping them adapt to the university environment and encouraging them to participate in cultural, artistic, social, and athletic activities to enhance their skills and build their personalities.

The Student Affairs Officer stressed the importance of adhering to official working hours, regular attendance, the unified uniform, and campus regulations. Students were encouraged to make diligent efforts to achieve excellence and success in their upcoming academic years.
