Media of the College of Veterinary Medicine

The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basra organized a workshop entitled “Biosafety and Biosecurity” for veterinarians working in the veterinary hospital and other departments such as the South Oil Refinery and Unit (K9) in the province.

The workshop aims to meet the elite need of veterinarians in the field of safety and biosecurity.

The workshop included a lecture by Dr. Murtaqab Younis Obeid, in which he addressed the importance of biological safety and security in private veterinary hospitals and clinics and their role in the safety of the environment and society, and a lecture by Dr. Hassan Muhammad Jassim, in which he addressed the ability of pathogenic microorganisms to resist and survive in clinics and homes. Dr. Haider Rashid Daham mentioned in his lecture the importance of Basic and safe training for workers in veterinary clinics.
