A research team composed of Dr. Muhannad Faris Abdel Hamid, Dr. Ali Belbol Al-Diwan, and the teacher Muayyad Hanoun and Tariq Hadi from the College of Veterinary Medicine published a paper entitled (Brucella and Dangerous Factors in Sheep) within Scopus and Clarvet containers with a 0.3 site
The research aims to determine the incidence of brucellosis and the predisposing factors through a questionnaire for animal breeders.
The research included the collection of (400) sheep blood samples taken from five districts in Basra Governorate and subjecting them to serological tests to detect the positive and negative for the presence of Brucella bacteria.
The research concluded that the rate of infection with brucellosis in sheep (31%) is due to the presence of factors that contribute to the presence of the disease and a high percentage, including grazing with other herds and the borrowing of male sheep between breeders in addition to the factors of management and care of animals in the field
