The Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basra, Dr. Jalal Yassin Mustafa, and members of the College Council opened the Veterinary Parasitology Branch during a ceremony held on this occasion.

The Veterinary Parasitology Branch was established under the chairmanship of Dr. Suzan Abdel-Jabbar Abdel-Aziz and the faculty member in the branch, which included an elite group of qualified professors with prestigious scientific titles and the first founders of the college at the general level.
