University of Basrah shade the light on the Risk of Drugs through Awareness Seminar at the College of Veterinary Medicine

The College of Veterinary Medicine, the University of Basrah arranged an informative and awareness seminar entitled "Drugs between Reality and delusion – the impacts of  Neurological and Physiological, and Strategies for Prevention and Control," attended by a bunch of students.

The seminar involved several faculty members, who shed light on the alarming phenomenon of the spread of drugs and psychotropic substances. The speakers emphasized that the danger extends beyond individual harm, threatening the unit of society by depleting the power of the youth and making the fragile generation lose their awareness and responsibility.

The lectures scoped the primary types of narcotic substances, methods of consumption, and the tell-tale signs of drug use, which can aid in early detection. The faculty members also discussed the psychological motives and underlying causes that drive individuals toward this dark path, while providing a comprehensive overview of preventive measures and treatment choice.

The seminar concluded with recommendations stressing the importance of collaborative efforts and the intensification of awareness campaigns, which aimed at both students and community, in order to harness this phenomenon and address its negative results preceding its exaggeration.
