The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basra organized a scientific workshop on (formation of diets for farm animals).

The workshop aimed to know the means to create balanced diets to meet the requirements of the animal and its nutritional needs.

The workshop, which was attended by Dr. Kifah Atheeb and Professor Nazem Muhammad from the Public Health Branch, included details of the use of the Pearson square to form basic relationships and the use of the Excel program to accurately calculate the components of the diet.

The workshop recommended that the animals be fed using feeds that are palatable by the animals, that are healthy, free of impurities and fungi, and balanced, as well as that meet the requirements of the animal and be economical at the same time.
